Well known TV and radio personality, Hector Ó hEochagáin will host the 2017 Wexford Business Awards.
The annual awards ceremony, which is now in its 9th year, will recognise the entrepreneurialism, innovation, diversity and successes of Wexford based businesses.
Reiterating the importance of celebrating the achievements of the local business community, the CEO of Wexford Chamber, Madeleine Quirke, stated “On Friday May 26th, the crème de la crème of Wexford businesses will converge on Clayton Whites Hotel to enjoy one of the most anticipated events of the year. These awards are unique, as they acknowledge the achievements of Wexford businesses, irrespective of their size or sector”, added Ms. Quirke.
Applications for the 2017 Wexford Business Awards, will open on Friday 10th March and will remain open until Thursday 6th April 2017. Nominations for the extensive range of award categories can be submitted online via www.wexfordbusinessawards.ie and all Wexford businesses are encouraged to participate in this process.
“The awards have always acknowledged the diversity and depth of the entrepreneurship which imbues so many of the commercial activities throughout the county and this year, we are encouraging the start-up companies and sole traders to engage with the application process and gain the recognition which they deserve for their valuable contributions to our local economy”, said the President of Wexford Chamber, Karl Fitzpatrick.
Following an independent and transparent judging process, which will be completed at the end of April, the category award winners will be announced at a Gala event, hosted by Hector Ó hEochagáin. Speaking about his involvement on the night, Mr. Ó hEochagáin said “With the economic recovery now in flow, I am delighted to be a part of this high profile and hugely successful event. In addition to discovering which businesses will claim the coveted awards, I am looking forward to an entertaining evening with the Wexford businesses that have kept ‘her lit’ in recent years’.
The evening will culminate with the announcement of the overall Wexford Business of the Year Award 2017, an honour which was awarded to Scurri last year.
